JMS supports self-builders and custom housebuilding teams who need engineering advice that turns an individual vision into a structure that can be approved and built.

The service is especially useful where a home uses non-standard construction, open-plan layouts, large areas of glazing, basements, retaining walls, SIPs, timber frame, ICF or lightweight steel systems.

Early structural input helps protect the design intent while checking spans, loads, foundations, lateral stability, openings and construction sequencing. That reduces the risk of late compromises during building control or construction.

Outputs can include structural calculations, sketches, drawings, technical notes and coordination with architects, contractors and system suppliers.
