JMS Engineers were tasked with designing 5m high silage clamp walls and an associated drainage system for an extension at Severn Trent’s Green Power Stoke Bardolph Crop AD Facility near Nottingham.
The project required careful consideration of both engineering and environmental factors, particularly the management of silage runoff, a hazardous material vital for green power generation.
JMS worked closely with Reading Agricultural Consultants to ensure compliance with SSAFO (Silage, Slurry, and Agricultural Fuel Oil) regulations. Special attention was given to the construction and detailing of the walls to meet all criteria.
